bless this kid’s parents
hey fandom,
just writing slash fanfiction does not make you an “ally” to the queer community
if you write slash fanfiction because you think it’s hot then that’s fine, i do not care, enjoy yourself, many people who do write slash are women…
I wish that people who said good things always said them eloquently so I didn’t feel bad for agreeing with something that sounds really dumb.
(TL;DR I’m really mean but the person above is correct.)
My sincerest apologies, milady. I hope my boorish phrasing caused you no distress. Please allow me to amend my words in order to suit your delicate sensibilities.
Penning the newfangled concept of “fan fiction” based on two men engaged in sexual activities is a perfectly acceptable thing to do. Alas, this action in itself has no bearing on one’s support of the queer community. Therefore, before one proclaims oneself a paraclete of a community of which they are not part based only on their interest in pornography, one should evaluate their behavior. It is imperative that one eliminates the likelihood that they may make statements inherently offensive to several members of the aforementioned community whilst proclaiming themselves to be a champion.
Many individuals who write “slash fan fiction” fall to the misconception that writing raunchy tales about two homosexual males is a political statement rather than simply writing raunchy tales about two homosexual men. Proclaiming the action itself to be a political statement while simultaneously undermining the efforts of a group and claiming to be an indubitable supporter is not commendable behavior. In the words of the rapper Ice Cube, “check yo self before you wreck yo self.”
In conclusion, it is rude and presumptuous to assess someone’s mental facilities based on their grammar or lack thereof. Please reconsider this behavior. It is inappropriate.
Sincerely,
